Bahia Principe Tulum review by Cheralot of Toronto, Ontario: "Too good to be true!"

I just got back from my 1 week stay at the Gran Bahia Principe Tulum (April 29 -> May 6,2007) . We were a group of 30 and had the most incredible time ever! We all went for our friend's wedding and the location (the gazebo) was gorgeous and beautiful! The shows were fantastic and the service and the food was splendid! We couldn't have asked for better! It is definetly a resort we plan to go to annually from now on!

Liked: EVERYTHING!
Disliked: I LIKED EVERYTHING

Bahia Principe Tulum review by dave from Woodland Hills, CA: "Great trip!"

We just got back from this amazing resort and must say, it was more than we expected. We are seasoned travlers and have stayed everywhere from the Ritz to the Holiday Day inn around the world and would definitely rate this place in the Ritz scale. Yes, this place is huge as others described it, but you can catch a tram every minute or two..

The food at the buffet was absolutey great with choices from Sushi, Italian, Mexican, etc. We went to one a la carte restaurant, Le Gourmet which was very nice. The staff is extremley friendly and always available to help. The room was nice but not over the top. Ours had a garden view with a nice balcony. The room along with the complete resort is extremley clean.

I completley would recommend this resort and we are planning on coming back for Christmas.
Just a couple of recomendations:

Don't bother taking a cab, too expensive and much easier taking a "bus" right in front of the resort. This is a 10 passanger van that passes every minute or 2 and cost 20 pesos or 2.00 the bus is usually occupied with tourists and is completley safe.

Make reseravations for the al a carte restaurants the moment you check in. They book up fast.

Go to Playa Del Carmen which is a 20 minute bus ride and has pleanty of shops/bars.

Try all the different pools at the 3 resorts. fun things to do, water polo, beer drinking contest, etc.
