Akumal Tip #035 - This morning beverage is bloody good

This charming outdoor cafe in central Akumal is a favorite with locals and tourists alike.

If you are looking for anyone in town on a Sunday morning, check Turtle Bay Cafe & Bakery. Brunch is served until noon and it is the place to be.

Turtle Bay Cafe’s breakfasts are savory and healthy. Popular dishes are the tropical fruit smoothies or the French toast with bananas.

Here is our most favorite morning libation in Akumal. Enjoy lazy Sunday mornings at the Cafe while sipping on their uniquely delicious Bloody Marys. Turtle Bay serves them with olives and a salt and red pepper rim.

For our special Akumal tip, ask the bartender to add a little horseradish to his original recipe for a real kick! But you’ll need to use a little Spanish. The wait staff may not understand the word “horseradish”, so after ordering the Bloody Mary, request in Spanish, “con rábano picante, por favor” which means, “with horseradish, please”.

The Turtle Bay Cafe and Bakery can be found in our Akumal directory.

Earlier this year you had a tip on a restaurant called La Lunita, and based on your review, we made a point of going there, and were fortunate enough to get table 29 right on the sand.. it was every bit as good as you said and even more.. very romantic and the food was the best

Thanks, Ed and Virginia. Actually, the original article is still accessible on this website. However, it is not located in the Restaurant Tips but in the Romantic Tips section.
