What about central Akumal properties for rent?
Akumal is much more convenient. All of the villas in Akumal to rent - both Akumal proper and North Akumal - have rocky coastline except for one.
Which one is that?
Taj-kamal. That’s the only Akumal villa on Akumal Bay that doesn’t have a rocky coastline. The rest of the Akumal villas in North Akumal are pretty much on rocky coastline.
On Akumal Bay you have Hotel Akumal Caribe, the Villas Maya Bungalos. The Villas Maya Bungalos are not really on the beach, they are behind the Lol-ha restaurant. The Hotel Akumal Caribe is on sandy beach. Of course, it is going to be more crowded on the beach of Akumal bay.
And Las Casitas is on Akumal Bay but it is rocky there. But a lovely view of the bay.
Houses to rent in Akumal
What about houses to rent in Akumal … in North Akumal?
The houses have generally rocky beaches in North Akumal. Condos such as Vista del Mar has sandy beach. Hacienda de la Tortuga, the Reef, La Hoya, Tanik — all these condos are on sandy beaches. All the houses are farther down on the rocky coastline in North Akumal.
So at that point — once they’ve made a decision after weighing all those things out — what is the best way for them to go about renting the property?
See the “Akumal Accomodations Brokers” section in the (see our Akumal directory), because they represent them all. There are people that rep, but they don’t rep all-inclusive resorts. Some just rep Akumal houses, some just rep Akumal condos.
Of course, decide on your budget. Decide what’s important. And you’re going to have to have trade-offs. Do you want AC and pool and sandy beach? Sometimes you can get pool and AC but no sandy beach. Or you can get AC but no pool. When considering villas in Akumal to rent or Akumal condos or hotels, decide what’s important to you and stay within your budget.
